Brendan Breen

Brendan Breen has a diverse work experience in property management and asset management roles. Brendan began their career as a Property Manager at Kass Management Services, Inc from August 2009 to September 2010. Brendan then worked as a Special Projects Coordinator at John Buck International from September 2010 to April 2014, where they managed integrated facility and property management services for a large property. Following this, they served as an Assistant Property Manager/Portfolio Field Relief Manager at The John Buck Company from June 2014 to November 2016.

In 2017, Brendan joined the National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels as the Director of Properties Portfolio. In this role, they developed and implemented asset management strategies for international properties, oversaw third-party management companies, and reviewed annual operating budgets and capital improvement plans. Brendan also evaluated potential acquisitions and prepared asset management plans. Brendan worked at this company until December 2022.

Currently, Brendan is employed at the Chicago Housing Authority as a Senior Director of Commercial Properties. In this role, they oversee commercial and non-residential property and asset management services. Brendan prepares assets for repositioning or repurposing and executes Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to develop or redevelop properties.

Throughout their career, Brendan has gained expertise in property and asset management, budgeting, acquisitions, leasing, and project coordination.

Brendan Breen's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science & Government from Lewis University. Brendan also completed the MBA Essentials program from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Furthermore, Brendan attended the Commercial Real Estate Program at Cornell University and the Investment Strategies in Real Estate Program at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
