Megan Mortensen

Megan Mortensen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Megan began their career as a Technology Reporter for the American Banker Newspaper from 1999 to 2001. Megan then transitioned to teaching as a Secondary English Teacher at Margaret Douglas Intermediate School in Brooklyn from 2001 to 2004.

In 2012, Megan joined KHLowery Consulting as a Consultant, where they provided market research for publishing and content providers. Megan'sresponsibilities included conducting interviews, compiling data, and writing in-depth reports. During their tenure, they managed simultaneous projects for top-tier higher education publishers and aggregated interview and survey data into summary reports. Megan left KHLowery Consulting in 2015.

The following year, Megan worked as an independent Consultant and Project Manager for program review at i.c. stars. Megan'sresponsibilities included managing the program review and overseeing its successful completion.

Since 2016, Megan has been a part of the Chicago Jesuit Academy, where they have held multiple roles. Megan initially worked in a Development role from February 2016 to June 2018. Following this, they became the Director of a College-Persistence Feasibility Study, conducting research to explore the college-completion rates for first-generation and under-represented college students. Megan'swork aimed to expand the existing College-Persistence Office to serve students from other elementary schools throughout Chicago. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of College & Persistence.

Megan Mortensen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Villanova University between 1995 and 1999. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Brooklyn College between 2001 and 2003.
