Zach Avery

Zach Avery is a guitar specialist who has been working at the Chicago Music Exchange for the past three years. Prior to that, they were an intern at Who'z the Boss Music Library, where they were responsible for client acquisition, music library organization, and website maintenance. Zach also spent four years as the musical director of Zach Avery & The Smokin' Tones, a six-piece band that played at various venues around Chicago. In addition to their work in the music industry, Zach has also worked as a swim instructor and a sales associate at Music Go Round.

Zach Avery attended Columbia College Chicago from 2015-2019, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music Business with a minor in Marketing. During their time at Columbia, Zach was involved in The Smokin' Tones and Columbia Tonight show, and took relevant coursework in Music Supervision, Music Publishing, Record Label Operations, Promotional Marketing, Brands and Branding, Business of Music, Entertainment Marketing, Business Writing, and Entertainment Law. Zach also completed a practicum with the AEMMP Record Label.
