Dr. Renée-Paule Gauthier

Dr. Renée-Paule Gauthier is a highly accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in various orchestral and teaching roles. Since August 2018, Gauthier has been the host and creator of The Mind Over Finger Podcast, while also serving as a full-season substitute at Lyric Opera of Chicago. Gauthier has been affiliated with North Park University since August 2013 as the String Area Coordinator, co-director of the Chamber Music Program, and violin instructor. Additionally, Gauthier plays in several orchestras including Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, and Chicago Philharmonic, holding positions such as violinist and principal second violin with the Northwest Indiana Symphony. Previous leadership includes serving as Artistic Director for the Rendez-vous musical de Laterrière Chamber Music Festival and Acting Assistant Concertmaster with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Gauthier holds a Doctorate of Music Degree in Music Performance from Northwestern University, a Certified Life Coach credential from The Life Coach School, a Master’s degree in Performance from the Eastman School of Music, and a Bachelor’s degree from Université de Montréal.
