Senior Archival Specialist at Chicago Public Library

Beth Loch is a Senior Archival Specialist at the Chicago Public Library specializing in Special Collections since July 2014. Previously held the position of Archival Specialist at the Harsh Research Collection of Afro-American History and Literature. In addition to current roles as a Board Member at the Chicago Women's History Center since January 2019 and former Board Member at the Black Metropolis Research Consortium (October 2019 - July 2021), Beth has extensive experience in various archival roles, including Administrative Assistant at The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest, Graduate Student Processing Archivist at the University of Chicago BMRC, and Archives Intern at the Archdiocese of Chicago. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science from Dominican University, a Master of Public History from Loyola University Chicago, and a Bachelor's Degree in Public/Applied History from North Park University, complemented by a brief study at the University of Oxford.
