Rory Brown

Rory Brown is an experienced librarian currently serving as the Branch Manager at the Chicago Public Library's Independence Branch since January 2019, with a history of managing other branches and performing various librarian roles since 2008. Rory's responsibilities include overall operation and maintenance of library services, staff management, program development, community outreach, and policy interpretation. Education includes a Master of Library & Information Science from Dominican University, complemented by a BA in History from UMass Boston and an AA in General Studies from Cape Cod Community College. Additional experience includes serving as a Library Assistant at the University of Chicago and holding the position of CFO at Browntown prior to transitioning to library services.
