Shannon Bourne

Shannon Bourne is an experienced professional in the arts and education sectors, currently serving as the Director of Library Programs and Events at the Chicago Public Library since September 2022. In addition, Shannon has held various positions at Columbia College Chicago since October 2011, including Adjunct Professor of Instruction in Business & Entrepreneurship and Director of Student Activities. Previous experience includes roles as a Management Consultant from September 2004 to September 2013, Project Manager for interdisciplinary artist Joan Giroux, and Development Director for the Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble. Shannon holds a Master of Arts Management degree with a concentration in Visual Art from Columbia College Chicago and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Painting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
