Alissa Johnson is an experienced educator and policy advocate currently serving as a Teacher Pathways Training & Curriculum Fellow at Chicago Public Schools, where responsibilities include designing training for over 300 pre-service teachers and managing mentorship and retention initiatives. Johnson previously held leadership roles at Breakthrough Public Schools, leading the K-1 team and teaching first grade during remote instruction, while also gaining experience with Teach For America. Johnson's background includes a public policy fellowship, internships with various organizations—including the U.S. House of Representatives, Hillary for America, and Giffords—and a focus on community engagement and curriculum development. Johnson holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University.
