Chad H. Thomas

Director Of School Leader Engagement at Chicago Public Schools

Chad H. Thomas is an experienced educational leader with a career spanning over two decades in various roles within the Chicago Public Schools system and beyond. Currently serving as the Director of School Leader Engagement since July 2013, Thomas has also held positions as a school principal and participated in the Principal Fellow CPS-CEO program. Previously, Thomas was the principal of Sullivan High School and engaged with Mayor Lori Lightfoot's Education Transition Committee. Other notable roles include participation in the Chicago Council on Global Affairs Emerging Leaders Program, involvement in Deloitte's Courageous Principals training, and experiences at New Leaders and various assistant principal positions. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Quincy University and a Master's in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago.
