Heather Buford Pusatcioglu

Heather Buford Pusatcioglu, Ed.D., is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Principal at Chicago Public Schools since November 2014, having previously held positions as Assistant Principal and Resident Principal. Prior roles include Assistant Principal at LEARN Charter School Network and a foundational educator at University of Chicago Charter School Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed teaching and instructional coaching. Earlier career experiences include teaching in special education at Saint Louis Public Schools and participating in Teach for America as a Teacher and School Director. Dr. Pusatcioglu holds a Doctor of Education in Urban Education and Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Master's in Special Education from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hanover College.
