Helena Jankowski

Helena Jankowski is an experienced educator and camp director with a strong background in special education and curriculum development. Currently serving as the Assistant Camp Director at Galileo Learning since June 2019, Helena has effectively led teams of staff and provided valuable feedback to enhance their professional growth. As a Primary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher and Middle School Special Education Resource Teacher at Chicago Public Schools, Helena has individualized instruction for diverse learners with various disabilities while supervising a team of teaching assistants. Helena has also conducted action research focused on student self-advocacy, taught special education in elementary settings, and facilitated outdoor education programs. Helena holds a Master of Arts in Special Education, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Pre-Clinical Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Learning Disabilities from Michigan State University.
