Jeremy Thornton

Jeremy Thornton is an experienced educational administrator currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Chicago Public Schools since July 2024. Prior to this role, Jeremy worked at Madison Metropolitan School District for seven years, where responsibilities included serving as Dean of Students, Head Football Coach at Madison East High School, a Special Education Teacher, and a Positive Behavior Instructional Support Staff (PBIS Coach). In addition, Jeremy held positions as a College Advisor and University Advisor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, providing guidance on degree progress and academic planning. Earlier experience includes serving as the Interim Athletic Director at Madison West High School, where key duties included overseeing the sports program, budgeting, scheduling, and conflict mediation. Jeremy holds a Bachelor's degree in African Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching from Edgewood College, and is pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at Edgewood College.
