Kenya Underwood

Kenya Underwood is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in various roles within the Chicago Public Schools system. Serving as School Principal since November 2019, Kenya has previously held positions as Founding Principal at Southeast Area Elementary/Sadlowski and Assistant Principal at Ravenswood Elementary. With a focus on maintaining a secure learning environment and enhancing student achievement, Kenya has led curriculum development, professional development initiatives, and the implementation of technology in classrooms, positively impacting instructional practice. Education credentials include a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Governors State University, a Master of Arts in Psychology School Guidance and Counseling from Chicago State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Special Education from Hampton University.
