Michelle Wells

Michelle Wells has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Lead Teacher for third grade at Chicago Public Schools since August 2003. In this role, Michelle shares leadership responsibilities, mentors novice teachers and student teachers, and develops high-quality lesson plans. Previous experience includes teaching evening high school courses at Proviso West High School, where 100% of students passed their assessments, and a prior position as a fourth grade teacher at Chicago Public Schools, where Michelle achieved a 12% increase in ITBS scores in reading and math. Michelle holds a BA in Political Science from Fisk University, an MA in Education, and a Type 75 Illinois General Administration Certificate from Concordia University Chicago.
