Vanessa Lopez

Vanessa Lopez is an experienced communications professional with a focus on journalism and audience engagement. Currently serving as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist at the Chicago Sun-Times since September 2023, Vanessa also has a background in audience engagement and social media coordination through various roles, including Vice President and Social Media Coordinator for the NAHJ DePaul chapter. Previous experience includes positions with The DePaulia as Social Media Editor, Assistant News Editor, and Staff Writer, as well as internships at NBCUniversal and the Chicago Sun-Times. Vanessa is a graduate of DePaul University, where a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs is being pursued.
