Daniel Rappoport

Daniel Rappoport is a Civil Engineer III at the Chicago Transit Authority, contributing to the historic Red Line Extension project since September 2023. Previously, Rappoport worked as a Railway Track Designer at Gannett Fleming from July 2021 to August 2023, where notable projects included the Brightline West Maintenance and Service Facility in Las Vegas and the East Side Access project for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York. Rappoport gained valuable experience as a Rail/Transit Intern at Gannett Fleming from May 2020 to May 2021, focusing on corridor utilization studies in Toronto. Earlier roles include an Engineering Intern position at Union Pacific Railroad, where Rappoport worked on railway operations and optimization, and an Engineering Intern role with the City of Los Altos, assisting with capital infrastructure projects.
