Michael Blauvelt

Michael Blauvelt is a Senior Manager, Safety Assessment & Audit at the Chicago Transit Authority with a background in urban planning, transportation, and earth systems. Prior to their current role, Michael has held positions in project management, research, and development in various organizations including Transportation Resource Associates, Inc., Landrum & Brown, and The Energy Initiative. Blauvelt holds a bachelor's degree in Earth Systems from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master's in Urban Planning and Policy with a focus on Urban Transportation from the University of Illinois Chicago. Michael is currently pursuing a Master's Certificate in Railroad Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
