Kayla Samoy

Kayla Samoy has a diverse work experience in the field of journalism. Kayla is currently employed as a Deputy Senior Content Editor at Chicago Tribune Media Group since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Editor at The ABIS Group from May 2019 to February 2022.

Before joining The ABIS Group, Kayla was a News Associate at The Associated Press from April 2017 to April 2019. Kayla also gained experience as a Digital Reporter and Pulliam Fellow at The Arizona Republic from June 2015 to February 2016.

Kayla's earlier work experience includes a role as a Reporter at The New York Times Student Journalism Institute in May 2015. Kayla was also a NASA Space Grant Intern and Investigative Apprentice at Arizona Daily Star from August 2014 to May 2015. At UATV 3, they served as the News Director from August 2014 to May 201. Kayla also worked as an In-Studio Production Assistant at UATV 3 from September 2012 to August 2014.

Furthermore, Kayla worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Arizona Department of Communication in June 2014. Kayla was a Copy Editor at Arizona Daily Wildcat from June 2014 to August 2014, and an Intern at Inside Tucson Business from January 2014 to May 2014.
