Maggie Snyder is an experienced animal care professional specializing in large carnivores, currently serving as an Animal Care Specialist at Brookfield Zoo since May 2021. With a background that includes over a decade at the Wildlife Conservation Society as a Wild Animal Keeper and Senior Wild Animal Keeper, Maggie has developed expertise in team management and mentoring. Additional experience includes volunteer work at Mystic Aquarium supporting marine mammal rehabilitation, a role as Live Animal Coordinator at Brooklyn Children's Museum focusing on educational programming, and an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Animal Behavior and Conservation from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Science from St. Lawrence University.
