Chris Hughes, CPA, has a diverse range of work experience in various industries and roles. Chris started their career at KPMG Peat Marwick as a Supervising Senior in the Audit Division. Chris then worked as the Manager of SEC Reporting at Bank of New England Corporation before joining Liberty Mutual Group as the Assistant Controller of Liberty Financial Companies, Inc.
Chris then became the Controller of Liberty Energy Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Group, where they analyzed investment prospects and made recommendations to the investment committee. Chris also served as the Director of Finance for AGL Investments, Inc., a subsidiary of AGL Resources, Inc., where they managed financial reporting for multiple business units and generated a $13 million profit through strategic initiatives in the natural gas industry.
Chris later joined Utilipro, Inc., a subsidiary of Atlanta Gas Light Co., as the Controller, where they established the accounting department for the start-up company. After leaving Barry Real Estate Companies, Chris founded their own company, Hughes Financial Services, LLC, where they provided accounting, tax, finance, and business advisory services to small and mid-sized companies. Chris also worked as the President of the company and provided financial services to a non-profit agency.
Currently, Chris serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, where they manage the finances of the organization that owns and operates the annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Game, a prestigious College Football Playoff game.
