GM Policy, Communications And Research at Chief Executive Women (CEW)

Melanie Fernandez has extensive work experience in various roles in the policy, advocacy, and research sector. Melanie is currently serving as the Director of Policy, Advocacy, and Research at Chief Executive Women (CEW) since November 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at NSW Council of Social Service (NCOSS) from September 2016 to October 2019. Additionally, they also worked as the Campaign Manager at NCOSS from April 2014 to October 2019.

Before their time at NCOSS, Melanie worked at the Finance Sector Union of Australia. Melanie served as the Lead Organizer from October 2012 to March 2014 and as an Organizer from July 2011 to October 2012.

Melanie Fernandez attended the University of Sydney from 2003 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnic, Cultural Minority, Gender, and Group Studies.
