Alison Purvis

Alison Purvis is a seasoned professional in fundraising and development, currently serving as Chief Development Officer at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since January 2018, after previously holding the role of Deputy Chief Development Officer and Director of Campaign Strategy. Alison is also a Founding Member of Chief, an organization dedicated to women in executive positions, since May 2021. Prior to these roles, Alison was the Director of Development and Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Kew Foundation at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, from August 2014 to January 2018, and served as Head of Development and Head of Charitable Giving at the Natural History Museum from April 2005 to June 2014. Alison Purvis holds a degree from St. Lawrence University.
