Elise Awwad

Elise Awwad is an experienced leader in higher education and youth development, currently serving as President and CEO of DeVry University since March 2016, after holding various leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Strategic Enrollment. Awwad leads university-wide initiatives focused on student success, enrollment management, and student services. Additional roles include Vice President of Enrollment Management for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, board member at the Chicago Area Runners Association, and active participation in organizations such as Forbes Business Council and Chief, which promote leadership among women. Awwad's extensive background in admissions and enrollment management includes significant positions at Adtalem Global Education, alongside a strong educational foundation with a BSBA from Southern Illinois University, an Executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
