Lakeisha Palmer

Lakeisha Palmer has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Executive Director for Teach For America since August 2012, where the focus is on establishing long-term regional vision and developing teacher leadership. Additional roles include Managing Director of Program Continuum and participation as an Executive Director Fellow with Chief since June 2022. Lakeisha previously held positions in the District of Columbia Public Schools from August 2008 to August 2012, including Interim Principal and Assistant Principal, emphasizing high achievement, effective communication, and data-driven decision-making. Earlier career roles include Instructional Specialist and Mathematics Teacher in various school systems starting from July 2001. Lakeisha holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Shaw University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University, and an additional Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Capella University.
