Tim Szumowski

Court Appointed Special Advocate at Child Advocates of Placer County

Tim Szumowski is a dedicated volunteer with extensive experience in both community service and corporate leadership. Since retiring from a successful 36-year career in sales, Tim has focused on community engagement as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Foster Children in Placer County, a volunteer staff member with the Sierra Club’s Inner City Outings Program, and a head coach for the Special Olympics Northern California. Prior to this commitment to service, Tim held senior roles at prominent companies, including Senior Solution Director at The Hackett Group and Client Relationship Executive at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where relationship-building and strategic direction were key focuses. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of San Francisco.

Child Advocates of Placer County exists to be the bridge between the most vulnerable people in our community and caring volunteers who make a difference. With a "Whole Family Approach" and a range of purposeful programs, we train and equip Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), BE BOLD Youth Partners, Family Mentors, and Prosper Placer Allies to bring hope and healing to children and families fighting to break the generational bonds of abuse, neglect, and poverty.
