Cathiann Velez, LCSW, has extensive experience in social work with a focus on mental health and protective services. Currently serving as an MDFT Clinician at the Child and Family Agency of SE CT since May 2019, Cathiann previously worked as a protective services worker for Central Boston Elder Services and as a mobile clinician at Advocates. Cathiann's background includes facilitating treatment groups for older adults, implementing evidence-based interventions, and coordinating crisis interventions. Educationally, Cathiann holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in group work from The University of Connecticut. Previous roles also include positions in research administration, customer service, and internships in educational and therapeutic settings, showcasing a well-rounded skill set in communication, advocacy, and program development.
