Shawneequa Blount

Shawneequa Blount has a diverse work experience in the field of child care and education. Shawneequa is currently serving as the Managing Director of the Institute to Advance Child Care at Child Care Associates since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Crowley Independent School District from May 2017 to October 2022, where they held the position of Director of Early Childhood.

Before joining Crowley ISD, Shawneequa worked at Austin Independent School District from January 2017 to April 2017 as a Grant Director and previously as a Teen Parent Program Coordinator from September 2011 to January 2017. Shawneequa also has experience as a Director at Extend-A-Care for Kids, Inc. from June 2009 to September 2011. Shawneequa'scareer began as a CPS Investigator at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services from August 2008 to June 2009.

Shawneequa Blount completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences at Texas State University from 2003 to 2008. Following that, they pursued further education at Texas Woman's University, where they obtained their Master of Science degree in Family Studies from 2009 to 2012.
