Susan Gale Perry

Susan Gale Perry is an accomplished leader in early childhood education and human services with extensive experience in governance and advocacy. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Child Care Aware of America, Perry previously held the position of Chief Deputy Secretary at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, overseeing a wide range of services affecting millions of residents. Perry's prior roles include Deputy Secretary for Human Services, Executive Director of both the Early Care and Education Consortium and the Delaware Office of Early Learning, and Founding Executive Director of the North Carolina Early Childhood Foundation. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University-St. Paul and a Bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies from Hamilton College.
