Amanda Crosby has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Amanda started their career as a Student Services Coordinator at Columbus Urban League in 2005, where they designed and provided support to a unique program for nontraditional distance learners. In 2006, they became the Development Director at Neighborhood House, Inc., coordinating capital campaign activities and preparing grant proposals. Amanda then worked as a Mobile Therapist and Behavior Specialist Consultant at Associates in Counseling & Child Guidance, providing treatment and support to youth coping with mental illness. Amanda later served as the Associate Executive Director at United Methodist Community Center, where they designed client-centered programs and raised funds to support agency programming. In 2011, Amanda worked as a Social Worker at George Junior Republic, providing therapy and case management services within a residential treatment setting. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as the Compliance & Program Manager at ASPIRA of Florida, Inc., leading a Youth Leadership Development program. Currently, Amanda Crosby is the Director of Family Support Programs at Child Care Network, starting their role in 2016.

Amanda Crosby completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in African American & African Studies from The Ohio State University from 1999 to 2003. Amanda also simultaneously completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology during the same period. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University from 2004 to 2006.
