Gus Hansen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Gus began their professional journey as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at SpeedFam-IPEC in 2000. Gus then worked as a Mech Engineer Intern at The Boeing Company, where they analyzed and processed data from helicopter turboshaft engine performance testing.
In 2002, Hansen joined Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company as a Staff Mechanical Engineer. During their time there, they held multiple leadership positions and was involved in various projects. These included being the ACM Design Lead for the Attitude Control Module on Target Missile, serving as RVA CPE responsible for certifying pneumatically-actuated missile separation systems, and leading the Orion Transportation and Handling Equipment Design Team as a Certified Principal Engineer.
Later, in 2016, Hansen became the Technology Director at Bell Mountain Ranch Equestrian Center. Finally, in 2013, they joined Child & Family Support Services, Inc as the Executive Director of FAST Operations and later became the Director of Analytics and Business Intelligence.
Gus Hansen's education history begins in 1997 when they attended Eastern Arizona College, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies. Gus then continued their education at Arizona State University from 1999 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Hansen furthered their academic pursuits at San Jose State University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering between the years 2003 and 2006.
