Shannon Queiroga, MA is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the National Training Director for Child First. Ms. Queiroga has over 15 years’ experience providing behavioral health treatment to young children and their families; the last 7 of those years’ working within Child First as both an affiliate site Clinician and later Clinical Director. Shannon is endorsed by the Connecticut Association for Infant Mental Health (CT-AIMH) for culturally sensitive, relationship-focused practice promoting infant mental health as an Infant Mental Health Mentor and has worked in both outpatient and home-based settings providing an array of psychotherapeutic interventions including individual and dyadic play therapy, family therapy, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to those who experience a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as those who have experienced significant trauma and early attachment issues. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Community-Clinical Psychology from the University of New Haven and her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
