Abel J. Koury

Abel J. Koury Ph.D. currently serves as the Director of Applied Analytics at the Child Poverty Action Lab since September 2025. Prior to this role, Koury held positions at Far Harbor, LLC as Senior Manager of Research & Operations, and at Compelling Analytics as Principal, focusing on transforming data into impactful narratives. Koury has extensive experience in research, project management, and data analytics, having held roles such as Senior Research Scientist at Far Harbor, Senior Research Associate at The Ohio State University, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. With a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, Koury has developed expertise in educational psychology and data analysis, contributing to various educational and community-focused initiatives throughout a career spanning multiple organizations since 2007.
