Deborah Temkin Cahill, Ph.D. has held various positions throughout their career. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Research Assistant at Education Week - EPE, where they conducted research tasks and published research briefs. From 2005 to 2007, they also worked as a Research Assistant/Ford Undergraduate Scholar at Vassar College, analyzing and editing research on education-related topics.

In 2007, they became a Graduate Research Assistant/Prevention and Methodology Pre-Doctoral Fellow at The Pennsylvania State University, where they collected and analyzed data for research projects. From 2010 to 2012, Deborah served as the Bullying Prevention Lead at the U.S. Department of Education, where they coordinated efforts and developed partnerships to address bullying prevention.

In 2012, Deborah joined the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights as the Bullying Prevention Program Manager, managing program development, partnerships, and fundraising.

In 2014, they joined Child Trends, where they held various roles including Director of Education Research, Senior Director of Education Research, Vice President for Youth Development and Education Research, and Deputy Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, they oversaw various teams, developed strategies and policies, and secured grants and contracts.

Throughout their career, Deborah has demonstrated expertise in research, program development, and strategic leadership in the education and youth development fields.

Deborah Temkin Cahill, Ph.D. has a diverse educational background in various disciplines. Deborah obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Human Development & Family Studies, with a focus on Prevention Science, Adolescent Development, and Methodology, from Penn State University. Their doctoral studies spanned from 2007 to 2012.

Prior to their Ph.D., Deborah completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University between 2007 and 2010. Additionally, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Education Theory and Policy from the same institution, which they completed from 2007 to 2009.

In 2003, Deborah completed their undergraduate studies at Vassar College, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree. Their major was in Psychology, and they also pursued an independent study in Education Policy.

More recently, in 2019, Deborah attended the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership and Management.
