Sara Amadon

Program Area Director Early Childhood Systems Building at Child Trends

Sara Amadon is a Senior Research Scientist II at Child Trends since September 2019, previously serving as an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgetown University, focusing on the Tulsa Pre-K Program. Amadon has extensive research experience, including work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tufts University, where survey design and psychometric investigation were key responsibilities. Teaching experience includes roles at West Virginia University as a Teaching Assistant Professor and Instructor, as well as teaching assistant roles at Tufts University. Amadon also worked in various research and administrative positions, including as a Graduate Intern at Goodman Research Group and Assistant Director at Brandeis University. Amadon holds a PhD in Child Development from Tufts University, an MA in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, and a BA in Psychology and French from Whitman College.
