Monica Andrea Quiñones, M.A., M.F.T., joined ChildNet Youth and Family Services in 2000 as a clinician in what was then ChildNet's newest program - Behavioral Health Services (BHS). She became Director of BHS in 2008. And under her guidance, what was once a small outpatient children's mental health clinic is now ChildNet's largest program. Today, BHS provides services to more than 4,800 individuals each year. Early in her career as a clinician doing home visits in impoverished areas, Ms. Quiñones provided mental health services to clients from a variety of backgrounds, including mono-cultural and bicultural families, children and adults, adults with disabilities, pregnant and parenting teens, foster children, youth in special education classrooms, and much, much more. Since 1997, her career has covered a vast array of children's mental health including clinical practice, research, policy development, program development, program implementation and administration. In 2010, she was promoted to Vice President of Community-based Services. And in 2012, Ms. Quiñones was named Chief Operations Officer. In this capacity, she works closely with representatives from Kern, San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange counties on behalf of ChildNet's Foster Family Network. In addtion, she oversees Adoptions, Zinsmeyer Academy, Wraparound/Family Support Services as well as BHS. Ms. Quiñones earned her B.A. in Psychology from CSULB and her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. She is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.
