Todd Spears

Board Member at CHILDREN INCORPORATED

Todd Spears is currently a board member at CHILDREN INCORPORATED, but they started their career as a software engineer at SATEC Systems Inc. in August of 1990. Todd worked there until March of 1998 when the company was bought out by Instron Corp. Todd's main focus while at SATEC Systems Inc. was developing a general test package that provided dynamic test control setup, configurable calculations, and results reporting for various kinds of tensile, compression, and cyclic materials testing. Todd also worked on several custom projects for General Motors and Boeing, often working on-site to complete, test, install, and train customers on the software. As part of their job, Todd travelled about 4 times a year to customer sites in places like Seattle, Detroit, Taiwan, etc. The software that Todd developed was done using C language, Visual Basic, and Visual Basic for Applications within Excel and Access. In addition to their software development duties, Todd also developed the documentation requirements for software development for the department and promoted, organized, and implemented the ergonomic office cubical spaces for our department.

Todd Spears attended Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied applied mathematics with a focus on computer software. Todd also double-majored in business administration and management science.
