Mike Baas is the IT Director at Children of the Nations since February 2016. Prior to that, Mike was a Developer and Co-founder at Baas Labs LLC from June 2014 to February 2016. With experience as a Principal Software Developer at Liberty Mutual Insurance, IT Specialist at Safeco, and QA Engineer at CapitalStream, Mike has a diverse background in IT. Mike also worked as a QA Engineer at Microsoft, Information Systems Support Analyst at Western Wireless, and Analyst at GTE. Mike started their career as a Computer Technician at ComputerLand after graduating from Northwest Nazarene University.

Children of the Nations
Children of the Nations® (COTN®) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising children out of poverty and hopelessness so they can become leaders who transform their nations. Founded in 1995, the organization currently provides care to orphaned and destitute children in Sierra Leone, Malawi, Uganda, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. By partnering with local people, they establish Children’s Homes (for orphans) and Village Partnership Programs (to benefit orphans and children living with destitute families or caregivers who cannot properly provide for them). The programs and services they provide include education, nutrition, medical care, and community development initiatives such as agriculture, clean water projects, skills training, and more. COTN believes true, lasting, and meaningful change to a nation begins with children, so they are their mission.
