Shavonda E. Sumter

Shavonda Sumter currently serves as the President & CEO of Children's Aid and Family Services and has held this position since May 2022. Simultaneously, Shavonda serves as an Assemblywoman in the New Jersey General Assembly for the Passaic County Democratic Committee, a role assumed in 2011, with a recent re-election on November 3, 2015. Additionally, Shavonda has been the Director at HackensackUMC Mountainside Hospital since June 2007, and previously held positions as Board Chairwoman at Greater Paterson OIC from 2008 to 2011, Director of Business Development at Summit Oaks Hospital from 2002 to 2005, and Associate Director at Bartlett Associates from 1996 to 1998. Shavonda is also recognized as a Registered Contract Healthcare Lobbyist. Educationally, Shavonda earned an MBA in Health Systems Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University between 1999 and 2002.
