Isabel Galbraith

Isabel Galbraith has a diverse work experience. Isabel started their career as a Communications Specialist at the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) in 2009. At APHL, they oversaw the production of the organization's weekly e-newsletter and wrote various types of content.

Isabel then worked as an Editor at Webs from 2010 to 2011, where they transformed website content to attract users and implemented WordPress blogs with SEO content.

In 2011, Isabel joined LivingSocial as a Writer/Editor. Isabel led a team of staff writers, produced deal emails, and redesigned the company's copywriting strategy.

From 2014 to 2014, they worked as a Grant Writer & Program Liaison at The Foundation for the National Archives. In this role, they helped raise $1.4 million for exhibits and programs and cultivated relationships with major donors.

Isabel also has experience in academia. From 2014 to 2020, they served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Montgomery College, teaching freshman composition courses. Isabel won the "Outstanding Part-Time Faculty" award and taught various levels of freshman composition.

In 2016, they briefly worked as an Adjunct Instructor at American University, where they taught a second level freshman composition course.

From 2015 to 2015, Isabel worked as a Blogger at The Kenyon Review.

Isabel then transitioned to Howard University, where they served as a Lecturer in English from 2017 to 2020.

Most recently, they started working as the Associate Director of Institutional Giving & Research at the Children's Bureau in 2022.

Isabel Galbraith's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Maryland. This was accomplished between 1997 and 2001. Isabel furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing at The Ohio State University, from 2003 to 2006.
