Brian S. Martin

Vice President, Medical Affairs at CHILDREN'S COMMUNITY CARE, INC

Brian S. Martin DMD, MHCDS, FAAPD, is vice president of medical affairs at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and a clinical assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He is board certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Martin earned his medical degree in dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine before completing his residency at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. In 2014 he completed a master’s degree in healthcare delivery (MHCDS) in a joint program of the Tuck School of Business and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College.

In addition to his role as vice president of medical affairs at UPMC Children’s, Dr. Martin oversees Government Affairs and Community and Population Health and serves on the Medical Executive Committee, Clinical Quality/Patient Safety Committee, and both the Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation Boards. Dr. Martin also serves as the president and founding member of the Pennsylvania Pediatric Health Network (PPHN), a pediatric-specific clinically integrated network (CIN) which is owned by UPMC Children’s.

Clinically, he maintains a hospitalist pediatric dental/surgical practice at UPMC Children’s, where he has also previously served as a division chief for 15 years and residency program director for eight years.
