Mario Wilfong

Mario Wilfong, MBA, is chief financial officer at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a position he accepted effective August 1, 2019.

Mr. Wilfong has more than 27 years of experience in the health care industry, starting in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he spent seven years working exclusively with health care clients providing financial forecasting and consulting services. He has been with UPMC for 17 years serving in various financial and physician leadership roles, most recently as the chief financial officer of UPMC Altoona and UPMC Bedford and as executive director of UPMC Altoona’s employed physician division. In these roles he was responsible for over $500 million in revenue and more than 400 employees.
