Julie Nicholson currently serves as Vice President for Implementation and Impact at Children's Funding Project, a nonprofit focused on expanding equitable opportunities for children and youth through public financing. Previous experience includes serving as Associate Editor for the journal Early Child Development and Care, providing editorial leadership on research related to child development. Nicholson's earlier roles include a consultant position at Children's Funding Project, where strategic positioning and investor pitches were developed, and Deputy Director at WestEd, where statewide early childhood projects were led in California. As a Professor of Practice at Mills College, Nicholson contributed significantly to research and authored 13 books and 54 publications focused on early childhood education, equity, and trauma-responsive systems. Nicholson holds an MBA from Saint Mary's College of California, along with multiple degrees in Education and Developmental Psychology from the University of Michigan and San Francisco State University.
