Louis Ehwerhemuepha has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Louis is currently an Associate Adjunct Professor in the Pediatrics department at UC Irvine, starting in October 2023. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at CHOC Children's, including Director of Computational Research, Manager of Computational Research, Senior Data Scientist, and Data Scientist. In these positions, they led data science initiatives and applied research in statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to improve the quality of patient care. Louis also worked as an intern in clinical data science at CHOC Children's. In addition, Louis has worked at Chapman University as an Adjunct Faculty member and Affiliated Scholar, teaching various subjects. Louis also served as a Graduate Research Assistant, assisting faculty with data simulation and statistical analysis. Before their academic career, Louis gained experience as a Marketing Research Intern at Experian. Louis also worked as a Graduate Assistant at NCEEC - Energy Commission of Nigeria, conducting research in energy efficiency and participating in energy efficiency policy formulation. Additionally, they worked as a Python Demonstrator at the International Center for Basic Research in Nigeria, teaching Python and its application to computational science. Prior to this, they held a Trainee Engineer position at Data Easy Systems, where they installed and maintained VSATs and structured cabling systems. Louis began their professional journey with an Undergraduate Internship at Project E Delta in Nigeria.
Louis Ehwerhemuepha completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at Delta State University (NG) from 2004 to 2007. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computational Sciences at Chapman University. Finally, from 2011 to 2015, Louis completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Science at Chapman University.
