Shawn Sen

Director, Neonatal Cardiac Intensive Care at Children's Hospital of Orange County

Shawn Sen, MD has a diverse work experience in the field of pediatric medicine. Shawn started their career in 2013, working as a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellow at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In 2016, they completed a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. Following this, they joined Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago in 2018 as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. Currently, they are working at CHOC Children's as the Director of Neonatal Cardiac Intensive Care.

Shawn Sen, MD attended Stanford University School of Medicine. Following that, they completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Prior to that, they earned their Materials Science Engineering degree with a concentration in Biomaterials from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Shawn further pursued their education by completing a Pediatric Residency at Columbia University from 2010 to 2013.
