Children's Legal Center
Daniela Salazar Saavedra is currently serving as a Student Staff Attorney at the Children's Legal Center since June 2023, where responsibilities include supporting cases related to Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), guardianship, removal proceedings, and asylum, along with conducting client intake for unaccompanied children. Prior experience includes working as a Lawyer at Cámara de Comercio de Cali, where client communication and analysis of public documents were key duties, and as an Intern at TQ Confiable - Tecnoquímicas, focusing on contract process improvement in Central America and preparing contracts. Additional experience includes serving as a Paralegal at José Félix Escobar Escobar Abogados, managing judicial processes and preparing legal concepts, as well as a Teacher Assistant in administrative law at Universidad ICESI. Daniela holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Penn State University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Law from Universidad ICESI.

Children's Legal Center
We are attorneys who are dedicated to providing legal services and representation to children. Our organization began in the Spring of 2018 as a result of the large number of children without access to legal representation during immigration proceedings. The Children's Legal Center became formally established in June of 2018.
