Candice Johnson has over 20 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Candice started their career as a Registered Nurse at Wilson N. Jones Memorial Hospital, where they worked as a Circulating nurse in the Operating Room. Candice was responsible for circulating all services and was also trained to first scrub and assist. Candice then joined Park Central Surgical Center as a Registered Nurse and was quickly promoted to the role of Nurse Manager. In this position, they oversaw the daily operations and managed a team of nurses. In 2008, they joined Children's Medical Center of Dallas as the Clinical Manager of Perioperative Services. Candice was responsible for managing 25 direct reports in various departments and overseeing the operations of an 8-suite OR. After five years, they transitioned to Children's Health and took on multiple roles including Clinical Manager Perioperative Services and Director of Perioperative Services/ Director of Nursing Practices. In 2018, they were promoted to Senior Director of Nursing Operations and most recently, they became the Vice President of Nursing. Candice Johnson has demonstrated strong leadership skills and extensive experience in managing healthcare operations.

Candice Johnson pursued their education at Texas Woman's University, where they obtained an eMBA in Business Administration and Management, General from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a BSN in Nursing at the same institution, from 2009 to 2011. Candice'seducational journey began at Grayson College, where they earned an Associate's degree in Nursing, specializing in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, from 1997 to 2000.
