Daniel Lempa

Daniel Lempa has a strong background in security and public safety, with over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles. Daniel currently serves as the Director of Security - Northern Market at Children's Health, where they oversee daily operations, security, law enforcement, and other related services. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Public Safety & Security at Franciscan Health, where they managed safety operations and services. Daniel has also served as an Aux Police Officer at Stickney Police Dept, Manager of Public Safety at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, President of the Illinois Public Safety Training Group, Director of Public Safety at Loretto Hospital, and Director of Security & Emergency Preparedness at Little Company of Mary Hospital. Daniel began their career at Advocate Health Care, where they served as the Public Safety Chief - Training and Regulatory Compliance, overseeing training and compliance for the department. Daniel has a proven track record in financial stewardship, operational management, and ensuring the highest levels of service in the field of security and public safety.

Daniel Lempa, CHSS, CHEC I hold a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Southwest University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2013. Daniel is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Management from The University of Arizona Global Campus, starting in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the Essentials of Facility Security Design Certificate from ASIS International in 2023 and the Threat Pattern Recognition Instructor Defensive Tactics Instructor certificate from the Human Factor Research Group in 2021. In 2018, they obtained the Certified Healthcare Supervisory Officer certification from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS). Daniel has also obtained certifications in Illinois Professional Development, Immediate Action Rapid Deployment Instruction, ICS 700, and TASER instruction.
