John Abt

John Abt's work experience begins in 2004 when they joined the University of Pittsburgh as the Associate Director of the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory. John held this role until 2015 when they transitioned to the University of Kentucky. At the University of Kentucky, they served as an Associate Professor and also took on the role of Director for the Sports Medicine Research Institute. In this position, they managed a large budget and provided mentorship to faculty, staff, and students. In 2020, John Abt started their own consulting group called Abt Consulting Group. Later in the same year, they also became the Director of Research at the Children's Health Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

John Abt completed their education in chronological order as follows:

- From 1996 to 1999, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Movement Science with a specialization in Athletic Training from the University of Pittsburgh.

- John then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Sports Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh from 1999 to 2001.

- Finally, they attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh between the years 2001 and 2004.
