Mayrani Velazquez

Mayrani Velazquez, MBA, has extensive experience in behavioral health and community outreach, currently serving as the Manager of Behavioral Health Stakeholder Engagement and Team Lead for Community Outreach at Children's Health since April 2016. In this role, Mayrani has positioned the state-funded hub as a regional leader in Texas, focusing on provider enrollment and program utilization through strategic outreach efforts. Additionally, Mayrani leads a team of outreach coordinators to develop data-driven solutions for key partners. Mayrani also serves as a Councilwoman for the City of Terrell, where responsibilities include developing strategic plans and objectives. Prior experience includes working as a Child Protective Specialist for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, assessing child safety needs, and making necessary referrals. Mayrani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Learning and Development and Psychology from East Texas A&M University and has completed various economic development courses.
