Vanessa Simpson

Vanessa Simpson, LCSW-S, is a seasoned professional in behavioral health, currently serving as the Manager of Behavioral Health at Children's Health since July 2015. Vanessa has progressively advanced within the organization, taking on roles such as Team Lead for TCHATT and Senior Behavioral Health Care Manager. In addition to managerial responsibilities, Vanessa contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Baylor University - Diana R. Garland School of Social Work, teaching various courses since January 2020. Previous experience includes case management at CareNet Pregnancy Center of Central Texas and social work in the emergency room at Baylor Scott and White Healthcare - Hillcrest. Vanessa holds a Master of Social Work degree with a focus on Mental and Physical Health from Baylor University, where undergraduate studies culminated in a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Academic contributions also include coauthoring an article on suicide in professional literature.
